James A. Garfield, twentieth President of the United States, was born in Orange Township, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, Nov. 30th, 1831. He was graduated from Williams College in 1856. In 1858 he married Lucretia Randolph. Monitor was their home except when his official duties called him elsewhere. On July 3rd, 1881, he was shot in the Baltimore and Potomac Railway Depot at Washington by Charles Gulteau. He lingered until Sept. 19th, when he died at Eiberon, NJ, where he had been removed on Sept. 6th. Garfield's remains rest in a beautiful Monument in Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland.

North Bend - Home of William Henry Harrison. William Henry Harrison, ninth President of the United States, was born in Berkclay, Charles City Co., Va., Feb. 9th, 1773. He was graduated from Hampden-Sidney College in 1790, studied medicine, then entered the army in 1791 as ensign, and rose rapidly in rank. On Nov. 22nd, 1795, he married Anna Symmes. Harrison was inaugurated in 1841. and served as President exactly one month, dying of pleurisy April 4th, 1841. He was the first Chief Magistrate to die in office. His wife was at their home in North Bend, Ohio, at the time of his death, and his remains were later removed there from Washington. Mrs. Harrison died in 1864.

Webb, and his successful career was largely due to her intelligent appreciation of his aspirations. They celebrated their silver wedding in the White House. Hayes died in Fremont, his home for many years, on Jan 17th, 1893, his widow surviving him six years.

This is the first in a series of postcards which we will send you. Each of these little messengers will tell of Idora's current opera. Each will contain a pretty picture. Every card will represent a value of five cents in fun-trade, and be accepted for that amount at any amusement concession inside Idora Park. The condition is that it be presented during the run of the opera announced at the time it is issued, on any day (Sundays and holidays excepted). Our present production is the successful comic opera "Half a King". Our patrons are delighted with it. The final performance will be given Sunday Evening, March 29.
