Additional Details:
Cleveland's Public Square, 4.4 acres in the heart of the business section, was laid out in the original plan of the city conceived by its founder, General Moses Cleaveland in 1796. This view shows the new Union Terminal Group on the southwest corner. The Soldiers and Sailors' Monument, a Civil War memorial, occupies the center of the southeast section.
