Description:
August 21, 1830, the first canal boat, the Monticello, arriged at Roscoe and Coshocton. "The townspeople were filled with awe and wonder!" Monticello II now plys a one-mile restored section of the old Ohio-Erie Canal. The craft is 78' long, 14 1/2 feet wide. It travels at 1/4 miles per hour and holds over 100 passengers
