UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, DULUTH (UMD) Situated on a 250 acre site in eastern Duluth, UMD is one of five campuses of the University of Min- nesota. Established in 1947 with 1,432 students, UMD grew to 6,800 students by 1978.
