First organized in 1904, the famed University of
Georgia REDCOAT BAND which, with the Dancing
Majorettes, and the Fabulous Georgettes, entertains
hundreds of thousands each year in stadium per-
formances, and millions via television. With a mem-
bership close to 300, the band features a unique
concept in outdoor performance with a dynamic
variety of drills, and tailored arrangements and
choreography. Equally versed in all musical Styles,
the band includes nine ensembles, many of which
tour Georgia each year, and champion the cause
for original wind literature.
