Additional Details:
The chief wonder of the Lower Geyser Basin is the Great Fountain Geyser; in some respects, it is the most remarkable geyser in Yellowstone Park, its formation being totally unlike that of any other. Its crater consists of a broad, circular table, in the surface of which are numerous pools with an especially large pool in the center. At times of eruption, the contents of this spring are hurled upward to a height of 100 feet or more.
