West Virginia University, Morgantown
West Virginia University opened its $7.9 million
Creative Arts Center in the fall of 1968. It in-
cludes one of the finest 1,600-seat concert halls
in the nation. In 1964, WVU combined art, drama
and music into the Creative Arts Center, which
was awarded the annual citation of the West
Virginia Creative Arts Festival in 1968 for out-
standing contributions to the state's cultural
advancement.
