Indiana State House
Additional Details:
The Indiana State House, the seat of the State Government, was constructed in 1878 on a nine-acre tract of land immediately adjacent to the central business district. Built of limestone, granite and marble it is of the highly ornate Corinthian order of architecture, including numerous marble statues. Today, it houses the State's executive offices and courts, while many sub-divisions of State departments are housed in the modern office building shown in the background. |
