Salem Evangelical & Reformed Church, Huntingburg, Indiana. Established 1842. Church School 9:00 A.M. - Worship Service 10:00 A.M. Broadcast every Sunday over Station WITZ (990) 10:30-11:00 A.M. Rev. F. Fahrenkamp, Pastor. Col. Jacob Geiger who established the town of Huntingburg presented the ground for building of the church. The church has remained on this plot of ground ever since. High School Gymnasium at Huntingburg, Indiana: Dedicated November 13, 1951. Built in the form of a huge bowl, concreted in the earth with the seats below ground level. There is no obstruction between seats and playing floor. There are 6,263 reserved seats. The crowd exits up to the street level. A capacity crowd has been timed leaving; it takes less than 5 minutes to clear the building Dexter Press, Inc

The grade school shown in the distance at the left of the picture, built in 1897. Four rooms and the old gymnasium were added in 1925. The large building to the right is the high school building, part of which was built in 1907 and the rest in 1928. The new gymnasium which cannot be seen completes this set of buildings. This gym will hold 7,000 people
