Description:
The oldest inhabited wooden structure in Massachusetts. On the Hassanamisco Indian Reservation. The family originally lived in a cave that forms part of the cellar of the present house. The long house was built over the cave in the early 1500s. In the 1620s it was remodeled to look more like the houses of the Pilgrims.

Description:
Princess White Flower, a direct descendant of ?James the Printer,? is the present head of the Hassanamisco Tribe. This tribe was Rev. Eliot's second band of praying Indians. ?James the printer,? was attended Cambridge School (now Harvard University) assisted Rev. Eliot in translating and printing the Indian Bible. The Hassanamisco Indian Reservation is located in Grafton, Massachusetts.
