Built in 1893. This historic structure, built for only $13,500, is typical of frontier days in Texas. An old log cabin was the first courthouse, also used as the first public school. The bandstand and drinking fountain are built of native petrified rock. Embedded in a slab of rock in the bandstand is the footprint of one of the great 30-foot-long dinosaurs which roamed the Paluxy River Country 70,000,000 years ago

This Tyrannosaurus, a member of the Dinosour Family, is typical of the Mammoth beasts which left their heavy feet prints in the Sands of a Texas river seventy million years ago. Inspecting these historic feet prints ins becoming a serious study for scientists from many parts of the world and an attraction for tourists who annually visit the "Lone Star State" of Texas.
