The only one completed during the lifetime of Joseph Smith, Jr. first prophet of the Restoration movement. Still in use for religious gatherings. Open for public tour. Owned and maintained by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

1000 - Kirtland Temple. (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - day Saints), the first of its kind built by the Church, dedicated March 27, 1836. It cost between $60,000 and $70,000, which was a large sum at that time. (Not owned or used now by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.)
