Aerial View of Dublin School
Dublin New Hampshire (NH), Chrome unused

Description:
At an elevation of 1493 feet, Dublin is the highest village in New England. The greater part of Mt. Monadnock (3,165') lies within the town whose charter was granted by King George III in 1771. The first free public library, supported voluntarily, was established here in 1822. Essentially a summer colony, Dublin has attracted prominent citizens, writers, and artists: President Taft and Grenville Clark; Mark Twain and Amy Lowell; Abbot Thayer, Goerge de Forest Brush, Richard S. Meryman, and Alexander James. The Dublin School (1935), a college preparatory school, is partially seen in the upper portion of the picture.
