Description:
In 1883, a little church was built on a hillside over-looking the village of Fiskdale by Monsignor Brochu, then pastor of Notre Dame. Southbridge, Mass., for the dual purpose of honoring St. Anne and accommodating the Catholics of the village. A few years later a relic was obtained from St. Anne de Beaupre, Canada. This relic placed in the church is venerated by thousands yearly. Fiskdale on Route 20 between Worcester and Springfield, Mass.

Started in 1888 with the cure of Mrs. Jean-Baptiste Houde and enriched in 1893 with a relic of Saint Anne (parcel of the wristbone), the Shrine has grown continually. Situated in the beautiful wooded hills of central New England, it is half-way between Worcester and Springfield on Route 20, at the junctions of Routes 20, 15, and the East-West Toll Road
