Franklin D. Roosevelt's Georgia home has become an international shrine. Each year over 100,000 people from all parts of the world visit this modest cottage. In his own struggle against physical disability he brought courage and hope to others who had polio-myelitis. He founded the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation in 1927 and came frequently to Warm Springs from 1924 until his death in the Little White House, April 12, 1945

This beautiful Museum was formerly the summer home of Miss Georgia Mustian Wilkins, longtime personal friend of President Roosevelt. She bequeathed it to the State of Georgia by will in 1959 and the museum was dedicated April 12, 1961. It is filled with priceless Roosevelt mementoes from all over the world. A 12 minute sound film is shown in the auditorium wing entitled "A Warm Springs Memori of Franklin D. Roosevelt."

The brown leather chair was regularly used by the President when at the Little White House. It was given to him in 1940 by a group of his close associates known as "The Cuff Links Club," organized in 1920. The name was derved from cuff links given each member by the President with "F. D. R." on one link and the recipient's initials on the other.
