Monument erected by the Daughters of the American Revolution, showing the site of General Clinton's Dam. It was at this point that General Clinton built the dam and when the water was high enough to answer his purpose, he embarked his army, broke away the dam, and was carried by the accumulated water to the point where he joined General sullivan. In the battle that followed, the prestige and power of the Six Nations were destroyed
