LARGE MAMMAL BUILDING. The only facility
of its type in the State makes Kansas' most
progressive Zoo one of the most popular
attractions in the Midwest. This modernistic
structure exhibits elephant, giraffe, hippopot-
amus, and large primates. A unique educational
and cultural building, it also features an
incubator room for baby animals, a glass-
fronted diet kitchen, and a 50-seat education
room for school classes. Open: Spring of 1966.
