The Quadriga Minnesota State Capitol
Additional Details:
At the base of the dome is the magnificent gilded quadriga symbolizing the triumph of government and prosperity. Standing on the triumphal car drawn by four spirited horses is the figure of Prosperity. The horses are guided by two youthful women. The group was hammered out of sheet steel, riveted together, covered with copper and overlaid with gold leaf by French and Edward C. Potter, a noted sculptor of animals. |
