Greetings from Deming, New Mexico, situ-
ated on the high plateau and cross-roads to
Arizona, and has the distinction of being on
the route traveled by the pioneer freighters,
stage coaches and frontiersmen of days gone
by. Camels were used for freighting thru
here as an experiment by orders of Pres.
James Buchanan.
Deming was a roaring military post and
training camp during the late World War-
now a peaceful and prosperous city of the
plains.
