One of the many famous Coast Guard Stations on the
N. C. Coast whose personnel has been responsible for
the saving of many lives back through the years, from
the ships that have been wrecked along this treacherous
coast by the furious seas. Smashed timbers of broken
vessels may be seen protruding from the sands today.
