| The Butternut House, so called because of the extensive use of native butternut for both exterior and interior work, was the home of Charles and Julia (Wade) Robinson. Robinson operated the sawmill and is believed to be responsible for the architectural design of the Wade House as well as that of his own home and the Methodist Church across the street. |
