The murals of Lotta's Fountain in the Palace
Hotel are by the famous artist, Antonio
Sotomayor. They represent a fantasy from the
life of Lotta Crabtree, the bewitching charmer
of Gold Rush days. The room faces the fountain
presented by Lotta to the City of San Francisco
at the height of her illustrious stage career.
