The home office of Aid Association for Lutherans
in Appleton, Wisconsin. AAL is a fraternal benefit
society with nearly 1.2 million members in more
than 5,000 local branches nationwide. Its basic
purpose is "to enable Lutherans and their families
to aid themselves and others." AAL's more than
2,200 home office and field employees do just that
through insurance and benevolence programs. In
terms of life insurance in force, AAL is the largest
fraternal benefit society in the United States.
