Idyllwild Mountain Inn. This ever popular resort area
is located some 27 miles east of Hemet, on the pine and
spruce clad slopes of San Jacinto mountains, at an ele-
vation of 5,300 feet. A fine forest service trail leads
north and upward from Idyllwild, skirts the face of Lily
Rock, then zig-zags into the high country surrounding
Mt. San Jacinto. Idyllwild is the center of practically
every known summer and winter recreation activity en-
joyed by vacationists. It is a hiker's paradise.-R.D.
