JUNE LAKE
The resort town of June Lake is located near the Lake
by the same name and Gull Lake. Following the shore
of June Lake (El. 7616 ft.) the road cuts through a
rocky outcrop on which is balanced a rock of thirty
feet in diameter. The road leads through the community
of June Lake and on past the smallest lake on the June
Loop, Gull Lake. The lake gets its name from the many
gulls that fly over from Mono Lake to fish. . . M. P.
