first floor of the Capitol is occupied mainly by offices.
the southeast corner is the Governor's Room, or Executive
Chamber, 60 by 40 feet, handsomely finished with wainscoting
of mahogany, the ceilings and hangings being of Spanish leather.
The Capitol at Albany is the second largest, but the most
expensive building in America, its original cost having been
increased nearly ten times, to about $30,000,000.
