The Rip Off Pyramid, soon to be a handsome addition to the San
Francisco skyline, incorporates the historical phases of the
famous publishing house from its humble log cabin beginn-
ings, at bottom, to storefront to warehouse to capitalist phase
to imperial style to the eco-utopian wilderness on the top. At
street level on the left, a tour bus is unloading tourists and
customers in front of the main elevator. On the sidewalk plaza
at the far right stands the Benny Bufano statue of R. Crumb.
