Another famous tower of San Francisco. A gift
of the Japanese people to the United States,
the Peace Pagoda, 100-feet high, is a web of
beautiful structural design under 5 roofs. The
35-foot "kurin" is a nine-ringed spire sym bolic
of the "highest virtue," topped with a "gold en
ball," sym bol of eternal peace.
