"THIS IS THE PLACE" MONUMENT
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
This monument was dedicated on July 24th, 1947,
exactly 100 years following the event which it
commemorates. The monument is 86 feet long and
the center pylon is 60 feet high. It is built of granite
from Little Cottonwood canyon.
