Joe Hans PILING UP SENSATIONAL
RECORD IN Saving BATHERS
Joe Hans, who perhaps has already
broken the world's record for number
of bathers saved from drowning in less
than two seasons at Cowell beach,
brought news over the week-end that
he had accounted for two additional
lives snatched from the briny during
the high tide of last Thursday.
Hans listed his Thursday subjects as
Mrs. Frank Gill, 23, who, he said, wa
swimming nearly 300 feet off shore
when he was obliged to assist her to
safely. A small girl was the object of
his second rescue, Hans reported.
