The Coliseum is located on Wabash Avenue
near 16th Street,
It is an immense building, 378
by 170 feet and 105 feet high to the dome with
a seating capacity for about 13,000 persons. It
is used for automobile, land and electrical exhi-
bitions, advertising and business shows, and also
for the National Political Conventions, which are
held in Chicago. For many years the Old Libby
Prison, moved to Chicago from Richmond, occu-
pied this site.
