Champion of Orient
It is only within the past few years that
Filipino boxers have made their appearance
ir. the ring. The World War took many
Yankee sailors and soldiers to Manila, and
as a result, boxing became popular and the
natives were last to take it up. Francisco
Reyes is only 19 years old, but he has
learned a lot of boxing, and is now cham-
pion of the Orient at 118 pounds. He is a a
clever kid and has beaten some very good
American lads who have been there and
also in the States.
