  Hi! I am from Bessemer, AL. Your listing has brought some great old memories. Can you believe that this beautiful church was torn down in the 1970's?! It was replaced by a more modern church on the same property. Now, the building is vacant as there is no longer a 1st Baptist in Bessemer. It is a changing town and 1st Baptist merged with two other intown churchs and moved to the suburbs. Just thought you may be interested in my memories.
