VINCENNES, IND., has long been regarded
the most historical spot in the United States.
Although records prove Vincennes was founded
in 1702, many historians contend this now
beautiful and romantic city was settled as
early as 1609.
Vincennes has lived under six flags, namely:
Indian flag (Red), Spanish, French, British9 AM
Clark or Vincennes flag, and the Ameriean
flag.
Thousands of tourists representing every
state in the union and many foreign countries
annually come to Vincennes and visit the 32
places of historical interest. Daily more people
are realizing that Vincennes is the birth-
place" of what are now the great states
of Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois and
Indiana.
