This residence hall was named after William Dennison of the class of 1835. He was an active industrialist, financier and public servant, having served as a state Senator, Governor of Ohio 1860-1864 and Post Master General in Abraham Lincoln's Cabinet. Dennison Hall houses two large dining halls serving the East campus.
