Built of home burned brick between 1820 and 1823, on the Georgian style with classic columns. During the Civil War, Rosalie was the headquarters of the Union Army. The bed in which General Grant slept is still in the northeast bedroom, while the furniture in the northwest bedroom is the same that General Gresham used.
