ST. JOSEPH'S FIRST CATHOLIC CHURCH DEDI-
ICATED IN OHIO. The log church established on
this site in 1818 was known as "The cradle of the
faith in Ohio". Located near Somerset in Perry
County, the present structure was dedicated in
1843 and is the third church building to occupy
this site.
