The huge lounge, with its colorful furnish-
ings, is an inviting place, where guests gather
informally. Starved Rock Lodge, overlooking
the Illinois River Valley, is an imposing struc-
ture of stone and logs. Rustic in appearance,
it is modern in every feature and includes 48
rooms, each with private bath. There is
also a group of cabins with private baths.
Starved Rock Lodge, Utica, Illinois, is
open the year 'round.
