The St. Louis Old Cathedral is the oldest
Cathedral Church west of the Mississippi.
Pope Gregory XVI made it the most highly
indulgenced church in America. Dedicated in
1834, the Old Cathedral served as the official
church of St. Louis from that year to 1914.
