BORIS KARLOFF as the monster in the 1931 pro-
duction of “FRANKENSTEIN” turns and faces a
terrified townsman who raises a torch against him
amid rolling thunder and flashing lightning. When
Boris Karloff viewed his figure at Movieland, he
greeted his wax alter ego as “my best friend and
benefactor.”
