WANTED-A Sweetheart
I am a jolly bachelor and have the coin to burn
For a girl to help me spend my heart doth sadly yearn.
I am a bit particular, not any girl will do
But if I had my choice my preference would be you!
I am too tall to be called short, too short to be called tall
'Though when it comes to ready cash I am not short at all.
I find it disagreeable to live so much alone
I'd like to find a sweetheart to call my very own.
If this by chance falls in the hands of some kindhearted maiden
I hope that she will pity me, whose heart with love is laden,
And answer this and fill with bliss a lovelorn lonely chappie
And thus you see, we both might be, well satisfied and happy!
