Court Square at Night, occupying a plot of
four acres, and laid out in 1819. The old historic
First Church, the society of which was founded in
1637, one year after the first settlement, was erected
here in 1645. With the Municipal Group on one
side, whose auditorium seats 4,500 people and is in
use many evenings each week, and Court Square
Theatre on the other, this is a very busy place indeed
at night.
