| Bear cubs begging for food along the highways are a familiar sight in Yellowstone Park. "Black" bears may be either black, brown or cinnamon colored and they are the most common species found in Yellowstone, of which there are about 400. Also they are found in high elevations throughout the Intermountain West. the adult bear averages 250 pounds. They readily climb trees and are very quick and agile. |
