The PENTAGON building Headquarters of U.S. Defense
Dept. has a Washington, Ď.C. address while actually located in
Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River. With 23,000
employees working amid 18 miles of corridors and 100,000
miles of telephone cables it was once the largest office building
in the world. Ingenious geometric pattern of hallways and corri-
dors makes it relatively easy to find offices except for sub-
terranean areas.
