MISSION DOLORES
Located on Dolores St. between 16th and 17th
Sts. this beautiful old Mission was founded in
1776 by Fr. Junipero Serra. No nails were used
in its construction, and the vegetable dies used
in painting the interior walls are still bright
after all these years. The gold-leaf altar was
brought from Mexico in 1870.
