This mural on a wall at the "Pueblo of the Seven Fires" at the Y M C A College Freshman Camp, Springfield. Massachusetts is the work of Wo Peen. Pueblo artist from San Ildefonso, New Mexico. Colors always mean certain this to the Indians. Here the realistic eagle (messenger of the sky) has yellow to represent the sunshine; blue, the sky; green, the vegetation or life; brown. barren places; orange, the glow of the sun; red, heat; black, night and white, the day. Lightning is shown coming from the mouth of the bird which indicates power.
