Additional Details:
Framed on the right by the rugged features of Abraham Lincoln and on the left by the serene countenance of Thomas Jefferson, the face of Theodore Roosevelt is emerging from the solid granite of Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota. George Washington rightly dominates the entire work at the extreme left. The gigantic size of the world's largest sculpture may be appreciated by noting the ant-like figures of the men at work. To Gutzon Borgluz, world famed sculptor, is intrusted to the execution of this monumental work which, when completed, will perpetuate the names of these four great Americans thruout the ages.
