Jim Butler Days
| "Queen of the Silver Camps" Tonopah's rich mining history and tradition come to life annually with the Jim Butler Days Celebration. Held over Memorial Day weekend, it mixes past and present. There are contests and events that provide something for everyone. A parade, state championship single and double jack drilling, junior and senior mucking, a black powder shoot, arm wrestling, 4 dances, arts and crafts show, horseshoes on the spot, mock shootouts and a 6.2 mile summit run. Getting caught without a button or garter is sure to land you in the Kangaroo court.|
