Additional Details:
The Chippewa Indians, though enjoying the benefits of civilization, retain many of their ancient customs and traditions. During the summer months they like to live in primitive epees such as the reed shelter illustrated, and on ceremonial occasions they don picturesque costumes expressive of their racial character.
