These looms, operated by highly-skilled workers,
produce the famous, colorful Indian design robes
and shawls. From virgin wool produced in the Great
Northwest, this mill also weaves blankets and gar-
ment fabrics which are marketed nationwide. The
plant at Pendleton is one of six operated by Pendle-
ton Woolen Mills with main offices at Portland,
Oregon.
